About the Workshop: We live in a fast pace world and deeply connected with technology, which can be overwhelming and stressful for the mind and body. Sound meditation is an approachable mindfulness tool that everyone in the family can do and experience calmness and deep relaxation. Some of the other benefits for children include, increased attention, better mental health, self-awareness and self-regulation, and social-emotional development. During the hour, explore techniques one can use in everyday life like conscious breathing, vocal toning, guided visualization, and active listening to live instruments like chimes, ocean drums, and Himalayan singing bowls.
About the Teacher: Julius Betila’s natural curiosity in science and technology led to spirituality and a deeper connection to the universe. He believes that science is the modern language of the mystics, which we can use to merge our inner and outer worlds, thus live happy and healthy lives. With a loving intention and gratitude, Julius uses sound as an energy modality to create a meditative soundscape with sacred instruments to promote a sense of well being and strengthen the heart-brain coherence.
