About the workshop:
Discovering that your child has a potentially life-threatening food allergy can be stressful, frightening and isolating. Knowing the right foods to feed your child can help make sure they are getting enough nutrition to grow and thrive.
This workshop, led by Registered Dietitian Stephanie Van’t Zelfden, will teach parents how to feed your child wholesome, nutritious foods, even with a food allergy. In this class, parents will learn:
- The most common food allergies in children
- Nutrition concerns when certain foods have to be restricted
- How to shop and cook for your child with a food allergy
- The affect a food allergy may have on the rest of the family
- Dining out and traveling safely with a food allergy
Join together with other parents in your community and learn how you and your family can live deliciously, despite having a food allergy! Let your children dance along with Lyman's music as you discuss nutrition with Stephanie.
