About Yelena Dondik MD, FACOG: Yelena is a practicing Reproductive Endocrinologist with Reproductive Specialists of New York. She completed her undergraduate education at Brown University. She received her medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honors Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She also received the American Medical Women’s Association Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement. After residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU-Winthrop Hospital, she completed her subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Louisville. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr Dondik’s research publications and presentations include the predictive value of ovarian reserve markers in intrauterine insemination, and the prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea and auto-immune thyroid disease in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome patients. Most recently, Dr Dondik has conducted research on DNA repair gene expression in Primary Ovarian Insufficiency and investigated angiogenic markers of placental function in egg donor IVF pregnancies. She hopes to become a resource for the women of Brooklyn and help them to achieve their fertility goals.
